Anini (Hq) in Arunachal gets its first bus service after 73 years of Independence

Anini, 15 January, 2021 : First time in 73 years of India’s independence, a government bus has reached Anini (Hq), Dibang Valley district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, near Indo-Tibet (China) border. ‘Sea of change visible under the leadership of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi,’ said the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu.

Pema Khandu informed about the flagging-off of the government bus service between Roing- Anini (233 km) today. This is the first time in 73 years of India’s independence, a govt bus has reached Anini, Dibang Valley near Indo-Tibet (China) border, he added.

Pema Khandu remarks this as sea of changes visible under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As the 2-lane highway reaches the remote border district in Arunachal, the government has introduced, Force Traveller, Mini bus (2×2 seater) between Roing-Anini.

The flag off ceremony of the government bus from Anini to Roing and vice versa was held on Friday at Anini by Mopi Mihu, MLA of 41st Anini A/C, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Dibang valley Minga Sherpa, IAS.

The govt. Bus service from Anini to Roing will be available three days in a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday and the bus service from Roing to Anini will be available Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, informed a circular issued by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
